i remember a lot of people were put off by the start of the game, expecting a TPS like remedy's other works and then the first thing you get is a gun that doesn't feel that great to use by itself. and it's a negative feedback loop because in my experience playing angry always makes people worse at games. this applies to fighting games but is especially true in strategy heavy games like mobas. not that i'm never frustrated, but i know that's when i need to stop taking it so seriously.

it's funny, i'm not a competitive person by nature, but i'm really into competitive video games. i think i enjoy the process of learning a skill and getting better at it way more than i care about winning. i had to realize this though, i didn't play fighting games until i was already an adult.
