When I went off to @bostoncollege.bsky.social, my mandate from my mom was pretty simple: do well academically, find a job, and be done in 3 years. My dad had just jumped the family ship and my sister would be going off to college in my 4th year. I had enough college credits to grad in 3. 1/

Agree with all. I'd like to see a discussion of how methods and approaches - in any paper/topic - are adapted to the sample/environment and an acknowledgement of the variation that exists. It continues to surprise me that presumptions of universality remain common in our reporting.
