LEGO has always been expensive because each piece has a ridiculous level of engineering precision. And there are still lots of free build boxes available - the specialised boxes are for people who enjoy doing that. They are different activities. I love my LEGO Jaws and Orca set.

Oh HELL no, #Audible. So you're going to not only steal my characters, infringing my copyright and IP, but you're also going to steal the voices of my brilliant audiobook narrators for your utterly crap AI chatbot? Get - and I say this with my whole heart - IN THE SEA! #NoAI
A headline from an online news article that reads: "Audible will soon let you talk to audiobook characters with a new AI feature."

Been a very busy and very interesting week at #EASD2026 - and thrilled to discover a negroni bar outside the congress centre. Perfect after a long busy day and a warm night!

It’s so illogical - to believe someone can become British if they can’t become English? And she is utterly deluded to think that this approach will be ok with the racists who gatekeep what English is.

RABID BAT FOUND ON SIDEWALK
On Tuesday, September 15 at about 12pm, a bat was found on the sidewalk on Hennepin Ave between N. Washington Ave and N 3°St.
The bat died and was sent for rabies testing. This bat tested positive for
rabies.
A woman was seen crouching by the bat and putting it into a bag. She was described as a 25-to-30-year-old white woman, about 5'5", with curly brown hair and a curly-haired golden retriever-like dog. If this was you, please call 911 and ask to be connected to Animal Care & Control.
Bites from bats are tiny, may be painless, and may not leave a mark. An person who had physical contact or touched this bat should talk with health care provider this weekend for assessment. During the week, Minnesota Department of Health can also provide rabies assessments at 651-201-5414.
If vou did not touch or have any contact with the bat, you have no risk of rabies and do not need shots.

That’s a perfect description of me - none of the genuine uses are in my everyday activities - AI just wastes my time while I turn down every “helpful” offer. Like pdfs offering a summary for a journal article that starts with an abstract. Just no.

Humaning.
A four-panel comic. In panel 1, a Northern Cardinal and American Goldfinch perch above a busy crowd in a city, looking down. The cardinal says "It's a nice day to go humaning." The goldfinch says "Just look at them. Majestic." In panel 2, a close-up of the two birds. The cardinal says "Nobody tells you that you'll reach a certain age and suddenly get into humaning. I hit 3 years old, and then bam."The birds are looking out over the crowd scene. In panel 3, the cardinal says "Their calls sound funny to us, but each one has a unique meaning." Below, people are saying various things: "I'm tired." "Where's my phone?" "I'd murder a burrito." In panel 4, the birds look down excitedly at a man walking by. The cardinal says "Wait, is that a guy who got dressed in the dark and put his shirt on inside out and backwards?" And the goldfinch exclaims, "Holy... that's a lifer!"

Also, we have over 20 years of GLP-1 RA trial data now, we have a pretty damn good idea that the side effects are largely outweighed by the benefits.

When we chose s primary school thankfully didn’t get first choice as meant we walked instead of driving - because 25 mins can be a v long walk with two small kids. I really hadn’t thought it through but it didn’t make me a bad parent.
