I note with some amusement that the last time I posted here was also a BandCamp Friday... A month has passed. A lot has been going on at home, and very little of it music-related (sadly). Nothing new to report (or sell), so go out and listen to some new music. Be excellent to each other.

Barry C (aka Legacy Systems) @legacysystems.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

As someone who currently makes largely unstructured music, dropping my latest album in-between 2 Bandcamp Friday's really is the pinnacle of bad timing. And then add in the fact that I am on the road travelling up to Northumberland tomorrow and that rules out further timely promotions 😬

If I’m not on the road when it’s released then I’ll be bagging a copy 👍

I still think "The Knife" is one of the finest tracks they ever made.

I cannot think of many agreeable uses for AI, but this certainly is one of them. And presumably this office can also double-up as the set for some gaudy evening game-show

Oh yes indeed... Copy ordered, and also thanks to @abrinsky.bsky.social for alerting me to it 👏

Oh wow - same here - been on the lookout for a copy for a long time so am jumping on this 👍

Dave Lee Roth's 'Skyscraper' kind of fits the bill too

I'm glad I am not the only one listening to this :) It's completely trashing my productivity this morning

This. Every track on that album is a belter 👏

I don't live in London, but would still be happy with a gig at the RAH - if it's good enough for King Crimson then ... :)

010

Barry C (aka Legacy Systems) @legacysystems.bsky.social · 18/08/2025

Absolutely - I so wish they'd tour UK/Europe with this. Would please many many KC fans

Barry C (aka Legacy Systems) @legacysystems.bsky.social · 18/08/2025

Original. My limited budget could not stretch to an 8s (even 2nd hand). I like it, and feel like it could spawn another diverging avenue of musical exploration for me.

The postie has just delivered me a box of tapes. My new album - Dronescapes vol 2: Ancient Dreams I also decided to give my earlier digital-only album - Dronescapes vol 1: The Larsen Effect a physical presence too. Just giving them a play-test now, but very excited about this.

Does Hot Tea count? If so, then I am in 👍

010

Barry C (aka Legacy Systems) @legacysystems.bsky.social · 13/08/2025

Same here. My theory is that I can use the phone and drink tea at the same time, and do not trust my left hand to be co-ordinated enough to deliver the mug of tea to my mouth without spilling it.

I was going to mention Elasticstage with their vinyl-on-demand service. I know a couple of people who have dipped their toes in this water to try it out

and because I am stuck with that ear-worm, why not carry on with the Dire Straits theme, and 'possibly' one of the finest A-sides ever to appear on vinyl...

Welcome to Joel's Vinyl Adoption Agency. As we're travelling Kameyama, I've put this Japanese pressing of No Parlez up for adoption. An 80s classic with added obi. To adopt comment 'where's my hat?' A random wheel thingy will choose a winner later. RePost is not required, but it is appreciated.
