How do trees shape microbial evolution? New bioRxiv preprint from our former MSc student Jocelyn Lauzon with @skembel.bsky.social reveals host-driven adaptations of #Methylobacterium in the #phyllosphere using a #metapangenomic approach. Proud to see this work out! 🌳🌿🧫🧬 doi.org/10.64898/202...

16S rRNA is just like AI. If you don't know how to use it, just don't, or train first.

Since the release of our perspective in the ISMEj (doi.org/10.1093/ismejo/wraf011), I realized that Methylorubrum and especially Methylobacterium pages in wikipedia desesperatly needed some updates... This is just a begining and other PPFM nerds are welcome to participate to this peer process! 😇

Stop relying only on #16S for bacteria taxonomy! Our last paper revoking #Methylorubrum as a genus and reinstating #Methylobacterium is out in the #ISMEjournal! doi.org/10.1093/isme...
