LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 09/09/2026An LLM solved a coding problem that I had last night in a really elegant way I was not going to think of, and I was mad about it. Then I spent the rest of the evening asking it how to solve all the other problems I had, and it didn't work at all, so now I'm feeling better. 210
LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 01/09/2026@yesthatkefke.bsky.social I know this is tangential to the point you were making. You said it should be easy to access accounts that don't matter. I agree. It should be easy to access accounts 😂 010
LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 01/09/2026Notably, just the existence of a password on an account undermines one security aspect of passkeys, which is that you don't accidentally send them to phisherfolk. The browser won't let you. Glorious 🤩 100
LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 01/09/2026I think every sign in should use passkeys by default with a link emailed to you as a fallback. No option for passwords. Then the factors are having your device, and the once-per-session password or biometric to access your passkeys. 100
LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 24/08/2026Hi, we are using it and it has been great. Regarding shared config files: not all mods follow good conventions about what files need to be shared to make the instance work. Cobbleverse modpack title screen breaks when shared. Please let the shared instance contain more instance files or teach devs 000

LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 19/08/2026Cool update. Love having the library on the home page. I had my instances sorted by version and that was helpful to me, why did you remove that sorting option? Please put it back, it doesn't bite. 200
LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 19/08/2026The icons should have an option to pick one of the mods' icons from the instance. For my skyblock instance, I want to select the skyblock mod and have its icon rep the instance. 000

LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 19/08/2026Does it need to display seconds? If you put a function in there that syncs to the system clock every 60s it at least it wouldn't accumulate? If the function isn't a performance impact you could even do every 10s or 1s 100
LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 19/08/2026Tried out the Unplugged AFK mod as demonstrated by Xisuma - game changer. TBH a huge benefit is that I need the first thing I do in the morning to be thinking about my day and what to do that day, not minecraft. And when I wake up and see minecraft open, my whole day becomes minecraft by default.youtu.beAFK Without A Connection | Minecraft Mod ShowcaseYouTube video by xisumavoid 000

LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 21/06/2026No one in my family knew anything about coding so I was on Scratch from fourth grade to ninth grade, and even though I didn't ever hear about classes or pointers or memory, there was PLENTY of room for me to run wild, and those years of basic practice were invaluable. 220

LeaveSteve @leavesteve.birdswithlegs.nl · 12/06/2026Yeah I'm pretty annoyed that people discovered that Rust's compiler catches a lot of ai bugs. I don't like that being written in rust *at all* is an immediate potential red flag for ai I just want a nice ecosystem 010
