The EU was stronger with us in it and I know we will be back in the club eventually but the domestic political landscape needs to change first. We need a major political force to make rejoining a major policy. The public are ~55% in favour of it. Voters under 35 especially so Europe, I miss you 🇪🇺💖🇪🇺

Speaking of which, it bugs me that a lot of people see ‘Europe’ as this ‘other place’, across the sea. Like some distant land. But we are part of Europe, we always have been I don’t know where I’m going with this, much like the direction of the UK I was heartbroken on 23rd June 2016. I still am.

Brexit has been a shambles. Literally nothing good has come out of it. Have we been able to pass some laws which we couldn’t have otherwise? Sure. But we could have lobbied to have the entire continent adopt those laws which would be beneficial to Europe too

It’s only a matter of time before we rejoin, but a decade on from the vote, it’s domestically where my biggest concerns lie. We are so divided, hatred and violence are rising, amongst many other issues Hate to be that person, but when I predicted the fallout from this, I was told I was overreacting

It’s been 10 years exactly since the EU referendum. I knew then that it was going to lead us down a dark path and I’ve been vindicated in that. The EU isn’t perfect, but we are far stronger united than divided. The UK may have left the EU, but I still proudly call myself European.

You have to stop this. This is going to kill people. When I first came out in 2015, I never thought this was going to happen. The UK was among the best in Europe for trans people. Now, I fear for my safety every time I go out my own front door, to the gym, to the shops. Please stop this.

Thank you, that’s really good to know! Not sure exactly when it’ll be happening but it should be this year. I’m told I should be ok to go back to work after about 4-6 weeks, just hoping it will be a smoother recovery than when I had GRS 😅

So what is it that Trans People want? -Primary Care based healthcare without waiting lists. Not GICs -The right to update all our official documents without delay or restriction. Not GRCs -Discrimination protection that recognises our dignity & humanity. Not exclusion The same as everyone else

I say this as someone who voted Green last week. We have to think long term about this. Another Green MP would be nice, but allowing Streeting into power is dangerous. A Green mayor would be better than a Reform mayor. Think clearly about this Zack, please think long term about this
