In the second panel, we see see the second ghost’s face, blushing. It says, “Here? In public?”
In the third panel, we again see the pair of ghosts together. The first one says, “No one can see us, we’re ghosts!”
In the fourth panel, the title reads “the cat”. We see a cat looking up at them.

Make the episode as long as it needs to be to tell the story, have the conversation, or deliver the value. Don't cut good content just to hit a number. 🎙️

That information can tell you a lot more than an arbitrary episode-length rule. If most of your listeners are sticking around until the end, it probably doesn't matter whether your episode is 20 minutes or 2 hours.
100
Lindsay Curtis @lcurtisa.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
And if you're not sure whether your episode length is working for your listeners, dig into your stats. 📊 What's your completion rate? Where are people dropping off? Is there a particular section where listeners consistently stop?
100
Lindsay Curtis @lcurtisa.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Yes, that includes audio and video quality, but more importantly, it means the *content* is worth listening to. Think about your fav podcast. If you see an ep is 2+ hours long, do you think, "Oh no, I don't have time for that"? Or are you excited because there's two hours of something you enjoy?

Lindsay Curtis @lcurtisa.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
👉But if you're going back and forth trying to figure out what to cut from an episode because it HAS to be under 30 minutes, you might be focusing on the wrong thing. As I've said before (and will continue to say!): ✨the quality of your episode is what matters.✨

Lindsay Curtis @lcurtisa.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
It's helpful to have a general idea of how long your episodes will be, especially if you're interviewing someone and want to give them a sense of how long the recording will take.
100
Lindsay Curtis @lcurtisa.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
How long should your podcast episodes be? Personally? I don't think it matters. That said, if you consistently put out 20-minute episodes and then suddenly release a 2-hour episode, your listeners might balk a little.

The image is of a four panel comic. The title reads "Poltergeist".
In the first panel we see a woman with a worried expression on her face. She says, "stuff keeps moving around my house."
In the second panel the same woman says "I'm terrified. I can't sleep."
In the third panel we see a ghost holding a candle and a pillow that reads "live laugh love". The ghost is zooming through the house.
In the fourth panel we see the same ghost hanging up a frame and thinking, "home decor is my passion".

Three panel comic. Panel 1: underwater ocean camera view of a whale fall on the sea floor, with various bottom feeders and weird fishes crawling around the decomposing remains. Off panel, someone says, “hang on a second…” Panel 2: the speaker is a member of a marine biologist crew, remotely viewing the video footage from a computer monitor. The biologist is leaning against his colleague’s chair. He continues, “pan the camera back.” Panel 3: Back underwater, the POV shifts to the other end of the whale carcass. There’s a large spider crab with a standing just off to the side. It has a human face in a neutral expression, and is wearing glasses. The marine biologist says, “I think I went to high school with that guy.”

there should be an option to pick your time and date - I use it all the time. if you just hit schedule without picking an option it will pick a time for you but if you click on the arrow next to "next available" you can select "set date and time" Hope that helps!

The third panel shows a group of women sitting together and consoling one woman in the center. The woman in the center is saying "...And that's how it happened. It's been the worst day of my life."

Two panel comic. Panel 1: a bat hangs upside-down from a telephone line at sunset. The bat is in front of a billboard advertising the Florida Mega Jackpot, which is valued at $5,318,008 - represented with a digital ticker. Panel 2: the POV flips to the bat’s upside-down perspective, which makes the digital numbers look like they spell “BOOBIES”. The bat appears delighted.

When it comes down to it I like making things easier for my clients so they can focus on what they actually want to be doing. For my podcast clients, that means taking the recording sitting on their computer and turning it into a really good podcast episode they’re proud to put out into the world.

Or maybe you just have a whole bunch of podcast questions and no idea who to ask. You don’t necessarily need to start over. Sometimes you just need another set of eyes to help you see what’s actually going on.

Feeling a little lost in the fog when it comes to your podcast? Maybe you’ve got everything set up, but you’re not sure it’s quite working the way you hoped. Maybe you have a pile of content but no idea what to do with it. Maybe you want to reach more listeners, but you’re not sure what to change

Panel 4: at the end of his long cozy day he’s in bed, and finishes his sentence “.. will do”

Sometimes the best ideas show up when you stop trying so hard to have them. Where do your best ideas tend to show up?
000
Lindsay Curtis @lcurtisa.bsky.social · 11/09/2026
And then, once things settle, new ideas often seem to pop right in. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought of something I want to post, a new content idea, or a solution to a problem while I’m just zoning out and listening to my morning playlist.

But once I’m out the door, it’s always the best way to start my day. Not just for my physical health, but even more so for my mental health. A morning walk is a great place to process things, empty my brain, or just let it calm down for a bit.

My favourite part of being a freelancer is the ability to go on morning walks. (You may have noticed how much I love documenting those here on social.) There is usually some work happening before I head out. I am an early bird, & I live somewhere where the sun has been known to take its time rising

there's always that little worry that they'll find someone else while you're gone - thankfully, that hasn't happened to me (although I did once have a client bring up the possibility before I took a few days off 😬). But you know what? It was great.
