She wasn't "political" in the sense that she chose a "side" like Democrat or Republican, or one candidate/politician over another. She knew when she saw something that was wrong and tried to right it. She lead by example and actions.

Gen X here but we had teen clubs or underage clubs in the 80s. They were like dance clubs with DJs. You couldn't drink, obviously, but we would "pre-game" in the parking lot. I'm grew up in San Diego so maybe it was a California thing?

My 16yo son has band and movie posters, plus some banners from his favorite baseball team. He's old school. My 17yo daughter has a collage of photos of her friends/scenery photos/move and band photos, aesthetic banners, and thrift store art.

It's difficult to watch shows now where the plot driver is "we need to get this big government scandal out to the media! Everyone will definitely care about it for more than 5 minutes and gov officials involved will definitely go to jail!" The suspension of disbelief required is just too much.

I had someone do this when I was walking my dog and then tried to give me dog training advice as I dragged my now crazy beast down the street away from her. (We had just gotten him from a rescue and he was still trying to get used to our routine).

If they stopped moving teams around to different cities or demanding more money for bigger stadiums or charging higher and higher ticket prices then maybe they too would see that kind of enthusiasm. I realize that's on the owners and not the players but...(I was a Chargers fan)

There was ONE ATC in the tower at LGA during last night's crash. ONE ATC, at LGA!, dealing w ALL air and ground traffic, including a plane filling w a strange smell and no gate to return to. The Pentagon wants $200B for a vanity war, but our ATC towers are empty. Budgets are moral documents.
