So many people get so hung up on mobility aids, and refuse to use them, and wind up doing more damage to their body until they have *much more intense* needs. A cane is a great aid, and far less hassle than a walker or frame.

Side note: If a walking stick or cane seems like a fun accessory, I (as a disabled person who has had to use a cane from time to time) heartily encourage you to use one! And if it at all makes your life easier, I encourage you EVEN HARDER TO KEEP USING IT.
