Blender's new Paint Filter compositing node is remarkably cool! Test from today using a cryptomatte to mask out Balloony and create the outline. Playing with the camera DOF and adjusting the colors/contrast went a long way. It's real-time too! #WelcomeToBalloonTown #IndieGame #GameDev

Just a moody forest sketchbook spread~ #TraditionalArt #Painting #Forest

A photo of an open sketchbook, placed on a wooden desk and surrounded by branches, hag stones, palo santo, and leaves for decoration. The left side of the sketchbook spread shows two gouache paintings, the top (and larger) one featuring a misty conifer forest with mossy ground and bright white back lighting. The bottom one shows pale blue light filtering through a dark conifer forest. The right side also features two gouache paintings; the top one of a very misty, monochrome conifer forest, and the bottom one of a dark conifer forest with mossy ground and pale sunlight coming in from the left.

If you hate one creative process, try a new one. If you don't want to study all the time, don't. If you want to draw what you want, do it. If the way everyone else is doing it doesn't light you up, then take a different path. Don't forget you're the creator. You make the rules.

The Plumeria printed really nicely too! This might be my new favorite. I'm going to have to experiment with watercolor brushes more.

Printed artwork featuring a colorful plumeria flower. The flowers are pretty pink with a striking yellow-orange in the center. The flowers are naturally framed by the long green leaves that are fanning out in a circular shape beneath them. The background is a soft watercolor digital painting blending the Plumeria render into the canvas to further sell the feeling of a painting.

This companion piece focuses on the Yucca Moth, it's sole pollinator. The two rely on each other for survival in a form of mutualism. 🌱🐛 They make the flowers home & lay their eggs. Also carry and deposit pollen into the flower so that it'll turn to fruit that the newborn larvae will eat. #b3d #art

An up close artistic render of the flowers of the yucca plant with a white fuzzy yucca moth flying in the foreground. A close by flower has a few moths making it their home as one crawls up the center to deposit some pollen that it's carrying in its mouth.

Mojave Yucca artwork from this weekend! 🏜️ This species grows in southern California and was used by Native Americans for food and to create rope, thread, baskets, sandals, etc. from its durable fibers. #blender #b3d #art #nature #california

Rendered artwork featuring a Mojave Yucca plant standing tall with a colorful gradient background with an orange and golden fade to white depicting a desert sunset. Spikey fibrous leaves shoot out in all directions with brittle dry leaves drooping down towards the ground. A large cluster of white flowers stands up above the leaves. Small moths are visible flying around the flowers.

Some close up details I photographed while touring the SS Lane Victory - a merchant mariner ship that served in WWII, Vietnam, and the Korean War. (PT. 1 🧵) 🗺️ San Pedro, CA #ReferenceImages ##History #WWII #Vehicle #Boat #California

Narrow hallow on the main deck of the ship. Lots piping and wiring is exposed with some rusting.

A narrow catwalk at the side of the ship that's on a hinge allowing it to be raised at one end with a pully to create stairs leading to an upper deck.
