I’m so angry I wrote an article: In Germany, fascist majorities are a real possibility again, but the centrist merger of a revived Red Scare with open racism shows that mainstream media & politics are unable or unwilling to comprehend the seriousness of the crisis tribunemag.co.uk/2026/09/germ...

Fascism is at the door, and liberals are ushering it in. Only the left offers hope.

There's a whole bunch of white male academics who were told that their era is up, and who are now organising. I mean C'mon, this is a MUCH bigger story than the Arday one.
Screen capture of the David Starkey Talks. of Starkey and Cofnas grinning. Starkey says after Arday's resignation : the reason we are grinning is that we are enjoying vengeance.

In the wake of Arday's death, Nathan Cofnas (who led the X mob against him) states his motivation. Beyond whistleblowing, he states that after a 'revolution' removes professors like Arday, it will open opportunities for him to become 'head of the department of eugenics and race science at Harvard'.

I still am surprised with white Germans’ racism. I shouldn’t be but I am, even after all these years. Last week das Schauspielhaus Hamburg used Blackface for their production of Othello. In 2025!!!!! Ugh. Do better!!! There countless Black German actors and consultants. Come on now!

Some guy on Twitter made a point of announcing that thousands upon thousands of men are descended from rapists, and we women "aren't going to like it when [they] stop asking nicely." Which, you know, surprise surprise brother, but you're also not going to like it when we stop refusing nicely.
The painting titled Judith Beheading Holofernes by Artemisia Gentileschi. The painting portrays the moment that Judith beheads Holofernes, mid act of sawing his head off with a sword. Judith grasps his hair as he lies face up on his bed and cuts the sword across to behead him while blood spurts out of his neck. Another woman helps hold him down as he attempts to resist.

Success in academia often has more to do with luck, patronage and the job market than “hard work”. Good academics acknowledge this. I worked hard, but I was in the right place at the right time on occasion. Historians far more talented than I have fallen between the cracks.
