A charming weekend in Scotland to talk about #AGoldenWorld at the #WigtownBookFestival. Lavender skies and a full moon over forests and marshland. My lovely driver Dave pointed out smugglers’ caves and took me to a Neolithic mound when we arrived early for my train.

Loved being on @thisguysucked.com. The conversation starts w/ Tudor gold-fever & ends with how different history might be when we centre other perspectives, ask other questions. Or if the full-length Inuit portraits had survived to hang alongside the only one we have from this venture: Frobisher's.
