Not really the important bit here, but is that really the best band they could get? They sound awful

At this point, literally everything they do is a very effective distraction from literally everything else they do

Shame there's not dozens if not hundreds of other grounds to do it on

Star Trek's history still in our future has us going through some of the worst times in our planet's history where humanity very nearly wipes itself out, so we've been walking the path they laid out so far, unfortunately

Remember, a lot of historical documents from this era get lost or damaged in the wars to come, so it's entirely possible the timeline is a best estimate

Fair, just never worked like that for me... I got used to my cars that had them, but after using digital, I never really want to go back. Analog clocks don't bother me but they still take longer for my brain to parse than digital. But as you said, all brains work differently

Big digital numbers tell me how fast I'm going more precisely and way faster. At least until I get used to a particular car's speedometer, I have to look more carefully, and a lot of them only number every 20 mph. But digital is always faster and easier to read.

When life gives you lemons, sell them for 74 cents each?

I mean, technically, they *can* rule in defiance, but it would be the judicial equivalent of pissing into the wind. Whoever you ruled against will know you've broken precedent with higher courts, will appeal, and your ruling will be overturned. Probably quite quickly, too.

Excellent side benefit is people no longer getting shit for using their benefits

I'd argue it's always okay to yell at googie, they need to be yelled at more

I'm confused, why would Republicans be trying to take her down when her opponent is a Democratic Socialist? At this point, why even bring up that she's better than any Republican? The question is, is she better than her opponent?

Wow... Hope he didn't expect me to actually read a 10 post screed of the same nonsense on repeat. Dunno if he's just overly obsessed with being right, or is just a low grade troll, but honestly, it's too boring at this point to bother with.

Not to mention, nobody is expecting super polish from a small restaurant. Whip out the phone and take some pics of the food after taking an extra minute to make it look nice, it's not really more work than doing it with AI, they're making the food to serve anyway. Weird ass hill for him to die on.

Correction: she *was* a trustee. She was removed in response to this

Laurel Raven @laurelraven.bsky.social · 06/08/2026
Not only that but the restaurant takes heat that should go to the distributor they don't really have control over... If there's bacterial contamination in foods that don't get cooked, the only thing they could have done is test all produce themselves, which is extremely unrealistic

Oh, yours actually disabled the cdrom source? Mine always just leaves it there so it can complain loudly that it can't do anything because it can't find that and I have to manually remove it each time I love Debian but you'd think they'd have fixed that sometime in the last two decades...

That's the neat part: the guy who designed it is the same guy who approved it, and everyone else had to go along with his crazy ideas if they wanted to keep their jobs

And give the ethics rules an enforcement mechanism with real teeth Not saying it's perfect reform but it will be a significant improvement, and has the benefit of being something they might actually be able to accomplish within our current system.

If they manage to institute a 20 year term limit, that would drop 3 members immediately: Thomas, Roberts, and Alito. They'd be able to flip the court from 6-3 conservative to 6-3 progressive, and seat a new chief justice (Sotomayor and Kagan, too, by 2030). Sounds like substantial reform to me.

Also, didn't Taco Bell pull the produce from their menu *before* anyone got sick from them? Were any cases even linked to them yet?

Not just cut into their profit margins, in most markets it's probably not even possible to get enough locally grown produce, especially out of season. Buy local is great, but it's not always realistic.

This is bizarre. "Prediction markets predict..." is exactly equivalent to "Gamblers are betting on...", and how they can even pretend this is newsworthy...

NEW: Growing fears of food shortages on USS Tripoli & other US ships in the Middle East. This photo is the kind of meals now being served. It was sent by a sailor to her family. Families are now trying to send food parcels to the ships. Full story 👉 www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...
A photo of a tray with three sections empty. One has chopped carrot in it. The other has what can only be described as a posit of brown dog vomit and an insole liner of a sneaker (or a used panty liner from the mid 1700s). The kind of meal that would have you happily tossing yourself overboard.

The president doesn't get doordash, if he wants McDonald's the WH sends someone to get it. She's there to talk up how wonderful he is for ending tax on tips and how it let her supposedly pay for her husband's cancer treatment or some other made up BS story. She's a propaganda plant.

Laurel Raven @laurelraven.bsky.social · 15/04/2026
She mentioned tax on tips because that's what she was put there to talk about. It's to make him look good because of his "big b-s bill". It's not like the US president gets doordash, let alone takes delivery personally. If he wants McDonald's, the WH sends someone to get it.
