You can tell Christopher Nolan can't write women because Elliot Page's character in The Odyssey is given more emotional complexity and depth in his 5 minute screen time than in his entire screen time in Inception

5 animators, 5 computers, 5 minutes each. Each artist will animate their segment within the allotted time slot and then pass the project file to the next person. The next person will build upon what's already been done. At the end of the night, we'll screen the results. #motiongraphics

‘You ain’t supposed to be out after dark’

Digital painting of a dimly lit night scene of a man wielding a sickle. He stands next to a deer as if in mid conversation with it. You have just interrupted. ‘You ain’t supposed to be out after dark’ he says calmly. The eyes of the man and the deer shine white like headlights as they lock on you.

Super bummed that India once again fucked up and didn't submit "All We Imagine as Light" for its pick for international movie. They failed to submit RRR several years ago too — does India not want to win any awards? lol

I'm rooting for The Seed of the Sacred Fig to win for best International movie — one of my favorites from 2024. The subject matter is incredibly important and its slow dive into a horror movie was impeccably done.

Something I noticed working on the campaign is that the pandemic has really ruined how people work with each other. I was constantly having to teach freelancers and agencies how to do File > Dependencies > Collect Files because they'd just send the project file with none of the media 🤦🏻‍♀️
