I have been writing/talking about this for about a decade now. Here is a simple way to back up/document at least some of your digital work. One thing to remember, however: a database IS NOT a book, so we need to build preservation structures that acknowledge that difference. digitalhumanitiesddp.com

Thanks, @merleeisenberg.bsky.social! Would you consider submitting your dataset to odfms.hcommons.org; or better still, finding a sub-speciality journal that would consider publishing user-reviews following our model?

ok this is a super specific question. I'm trying to find the MUFI (medieval unicode font initiative) code for the medieval Italian currencies lire, soldi, and fiorini that appear in mss as below. I've only found "lira" as a modern pound (lb) sign. Any help would be most welcome!

Hi medievalist friends. We are looking at this 15th c copy of the Image du Monde, in the section on Geometry. Does anyone know what is in the upper right corner of this image? Is it the monk's bed? Does he straight up have star stickers on his bedroom wall?
A clip from a manuscript featuring a monk drawing shapes on a board. In the upper right corner is some sort of folded cloth, with stars in the background.
