EG fell for it too. :( The Capcom presentation contains a slide with "AI世代のゲームエンジンへ" - the article omits the "へ", for one, but the issue is that while 世代 means 'generation', it's in the 'console generation' sense, not like GenAI. Without へ, translation software gets it totally wrong.

Just finished the Archer Vice season and I just realized, no one in the cast ever left the show. Other than when Jessica Walter passed, everyone in the cast stayed on through all 14 seasons. I don’t think I ever known a show that lasted this long and kept everyone from the first season.

Dude, this is genuinely so fucking disappointing. Nearly all of the commits I’ve seen for PPSSPP involve generative AI from Claude in the past week alone, and their entire newest dev blog is almost entirely written by Claude. Almost half of the commits in the past 3 months use Claude for AI code.

Finally catching up on For All Mankind and the various changes with 2012 in this timeline is very interesting. Pretty neat they kept era-accurate iMacs but the Newton that was the iPhone of this timeline is bulky! It would’ve been the iPhone 5 but looks like it’s iPhone X hardware in 2012.

09/18/26: XIV modders and CSAM

briefest possible summary: a group of people who were in the XIV community were found to be discussing sharing illegal CSAM in a Matrix group (while the CSAM in question was distributed via another program called Session). this case involves actual verifiable CSAM, not the mistaken conflation of artwork or 3DCG modded material for abuse material. an informant reported the group and has now shared the accounts of the participants actively discussing CSAM.

the leader of the abuse group, Regena, advertised their Matrix group on a Mastodon instance post in early july of this year. Discord was not involved.

currently the claim that this occurred or began in the XIV Kitten modding Discord does not have any evidence, and appears to be misinformation from the most notable post of the day mentioned below.
this news first gained notice from a twt/X post this morning, 09/18/2026 by Geneva Abrichter (@DoctorAbrichter), which flat-out misinformed everyone about the actual abusers in question and which the account later apologized for (see https://x.com/DoctorAbrichter/status/2100989548255985771).
given their track record i would not trust them for additional information about this case.

the user Chuuni Doll created their disclosure/PSA video about the topic on 09/12/2026, several days prior (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlvUMsU_d-A). it summarizes the full details and evidence logs from the proton doc, and contains disturbing chat log snippets (albeit censored ones since it is on YouTube).
the actual primary source of the information was an informer going by Kurumi who had brief access to the chat group. their screencaps and logs were collected in the video and full proton doc posted by Chuuni Doll.

the doc also includes the proof to connect the Matrix group IDs of individuals like @xivbestiary to their main account, Noffletoff/Noff.

Never thought I’d buy an iPad but after having that 2nd gen iPad Air, it certainly has came in handy so getting this 9th gen iPad that also is able to use iPadOS 27, yeah this is going to be nice to use for work and such. Will say, weird that a 2021 iPad is a lot thicker than a 2014 iPad.

While Dawntrail’s music has been pretty good, I am ready to move onto the next themes for Evercold. The techno has been a little old with the Solution 9 areas and the dungeon battle themes have been a little too monotone and similar again. I’m looking forward to the mellow rock tracks again.

The AppleTV YouTube app is definitely getting worse. Thumbnails are now really low resolution and when a video auto-plays when you hover over it, it locks up and you can’t scroll for a few seconds. They’re definitely bloating up the app that it runs so bad on the AppleTV HD version.

Beastmaster is a bit fun so far! I'll need to dive into it more after work today but mechanically feels pretty good. Will need to level it more (also haven't needed to level in an ARR zone in.... 5? years) and it's interesting they've decided to not add EXP gain like BLU for killing things.
