I have a running bibliography in Scrivener. It’s the only way I can keep track of everything. So many great books on the eighteenth century that I hadn’t had the reason/excuse to pick up until now.

I wanna invent time travel and then require every high school student to take a class called "All The Shit We Fixed Before You Got Here" where they tour smog-filled US cities, polio wards, pre-vaccine hospitals, buildings with no safety regulations, kids working in mines, etc.

WRITING TIP FOR TODAY Sale racks at bookstores. I'm dead serious. Buy reference books when they are practically giving them away and build a little library. I cannot explain the difference between a book and the ENTIRE WEB. A good reference book will give you a dozen ideas in the first chapter.
