Yep, I'll admit it. I'm a trekkie. Star Trek was my major bonding time with my Dad and I grew to love the whole universe. I was 15 when Voyager started and being able to see a strong, smart, empathetic female captain at the lead was inspiring. She's my fav and this book was a delicious treat.

I don't think I can put into words how much I love Carrie Fisher. Her candid and shocking honesty, her accute vulnerability and razor sharp wit made her a force to be reckoned with. Hearing about her time on the iconic Star Wars movie was both wonderful and heart-breaking. 2/2

Ever since I saw The Little Mermaid at the cinema when I was 5 I've been obsessed with Mermaids. This book is fascinating and goes deep into the folklore, legends but also the cultural landscape behind some of these beloved tales. I reread this at least once a year. 2/2

This book and the series that was inspired by it are etched into my brain. I loved the fact that this young, smart and cheeky girl regularly outsmarted a Wolf intent on capturing her. She had no fear just unwavering confidence. Every little girl should read these. #IWD #InternationalWomensDay 2/2
