Der Sonnblick auf 3100m Höhe ist mit heute offiziell ausgeapert. Seit Messbeginn 1938 ist das erst zwei Mal so früh im Jahr passiert (2022 & 2025). Vor dem menschengemachten Klimawandel lagen um diese Zeit im Jahresdurchschnitt (!) noch 3 Meter Schnee.

The answer: it is complex, but it appears that potential terpenoid concentrations have a role to play as well.
