This version finally worked! The secret? I had to remove all references to the name of the game, Blocks for Babies, including in the filename of the video. Multiple people suggested it was the word "babies" and I guess they were right, YouTube hates babies. youtube.com/shorts/Vr4Nn...

I think it's something you can definitely play around with yourself and see what performs better. Same video, different titles. Oh, filename matters too. I changed my file from "BlocksforBabies" to "BFB" at the beginning. Might have been the deciding factor.

Yeah, YouTube gets really stingy about references to children it seems, even if it didn't actually involve kids whatsoever. It killed me to change "Blocks for Babies" to "This Indie Mashup". You can say it all you want in the video apparently, just nothing in text.

I got a Council Of Veteran Creators together to help me and they all basically agreed that having "babies" in the filename, title, or *description* could get you flagged because it was also marked "not for kids". You can say it in the video though. The hurdles of language on YouTube man.

Update: It's still happening! Two hours and zero views. For a Short that means it's not getting pushed to any feeds whatsoever, including subscribers. Also the copyright scan has been stuck since last night so maybe the AI is having trouble scanning it and categorizing it? I WILL FIND OUT!

I am worried about having "For Babies" in the title is getting it flagged as for kids even when I explicitly put in the settings for it not to be flagged like that. Just changed the title to "Indie Game Mashup" and seeing where that takes me.
