This week I have the 6am shift and i wonder if it's wise to GM my game at 8pm. There were times when that wasn't a problem at all, but the older I get the less flexible I become about that.

My attempt at #LFS on the RPI zero comes to a very early end. Not enough memory to compile gcc on it. Which is like step 2 or so. Decided to switch to do it on an unused HDD in my media center instead and managed to kill the Debian host system on that because I slipped into the wrong user […]

Started doing the Linux from Scratch thing on a spare rpi0. Maybe I should have gotten a slightly faster machine for that. Although the compile times on a zero certainly evoke the days of yore... #lfs

Walked by the new maccas at the train station on the way to work, and noticed that this early they only have breakfast options. I am not sure why, but the thought of McDonalds breakfast always makes me heave, even when I am genuinely hungry.

A brief skim through LinkedIn and I am yet again wondering: how do you deal with all those people in the workforce that are so clearly mentally unwell?

It occurs to me that I did not noticeably change my politics since my teens. The world has just shifted in a way to make my positions all the more reasonable. Read: fuck, in the 90s we all knew Nazis were bad. How'd we still end up with them?!

We are taking care of a pair of guinea pigs for two weeks, and our cat Loki has found a new favorite pastime. (Not actually sure he wouldn't try to eat them. He spent his first year of life as a barn cat) #cat

Another office day for me. I kinda miss my cats around when I am here. By now my cat Loki and me have this established routine with him dropping in between my notebooks and monitors to sleep while I work. Not really easy to do when there are people around.
