Seeing the MAGFest discussion, I wonder if it's time for me to record a video about a non-script rambling about MAGFest for hours.

Hey folks, looks like we got a close contact situation going on at Riptide with COVID that may have hit my group so as always, be sure to diligently test throughout the week. I'm probably staying home for the week anyway due to general sleep exhaustion and will test on Friday.

Kyon finishes in 127th place as he is DQ'd to sleep, comms and volunteering, and supporting TZS. Thank you to the people I caught up with. Next challenge is to stop getting glued to the TO desk.

I did not listen to @popgun.bsky.social about salads and slowly paid the price. So I finally got one before day 3 and I feel great.

If I had the time to draw up an evil plan for content, it would be asking the people attending Riptide while I give them my microsoft surface with a VM: Here's MS-DOS 6.22. How do you boot up Windows?

Kyon2570 @kyon2570.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Walked 28000 steps in the fair yesterday despite best judgment against the heat advisory for 7 hours (hydration especially important). I'm still incredibly sore and slept 11 hours. Was it fun? It was okay until hour 6. Would I do it again? Yes.

Kyon2570 @kyon2570.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Oh, Riptide's coming up? Yeah, just say "Hi" to me and feel free to open up a convo. If I don't remember you, don't be offended. Just jog my brain and I'm bound to remember. Asking if I'm "Kyon" doesn't offend me either.

Saying it for maybe the 50th time: Do not accuse someone of using AI unless you have ABSOLUTELY AIRTIGHT proof, because if not, you're just adding to the paranoia and causing stress for hard-working artists. And yes, going onto social media and going 'Hrrm, I've no proof, but...' is an accusation.

Has anyone used DaVinci Resolve? If so, is it a solid program or are there better options? I've been a Vegas 14 video editing user for years but I just have an old version.

Live the kind of life that causes people to celebrate your good deeds, your sense of humour, and you yourself. As devastated as I am about Dolly Parton and Tim Curry, we were all absolutely lucky to get to experience their energies growing up, even if only in passing.

2D Con can be summed up as this: Tetris for <insert player here> Between the unexpected volunteering and playing Tetris while hanging out with Splatoon pals, this was one of those chill cons I was cool with. Now to focus on Riptide.

I understand the pure joy of casting CTWC. Did Silver Round 1 and Gold Round 2 on the side channel for 2D Con. The guys at CTWC Minnesota are way too knowledgeable that even my usual commentary brain couldn't pull off easily. Hearing that I was solid still by the people there warms my heart.

Kyon2570 @kyon2570.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

I guess I can add "commentated a CTWC 100 line sprint" to my list of commentary things. Granted it was a 100 line sprint but it was fun to cast high level Tetris.
