It's crazy to me there are candidates that have raised millions with no platform/issues section on thier website. Like it's great you got a picture of you and your dog and of course you've got 8 donate buttons and are already selling merch but like....WTF are you actually going to DO?

Howdy everyone. If you are a voter in North Carolina, or if you know someone in NC, then I have some information for you. View the images below for more info in the alt text on NC's primary process & the Secular Lefty Approved Candidates. NC is among the first states to vote on March 3rd.

This Info-graphic provides details on the primary election for the state of North Carolina. Their candidate filing registration closed on December 19th, 2025. Their primary is on March 3rd, 2026 and is a semi-closed primary with the winner requiring a plurality of votes above 30%. If no candidate meets 30% or higher, then the top two vote earners will move on to a runoff election on May 12th.

North Carolina has 14 congressional districts and one senate seat up for re-election. This info-graphic shows the information for all North Carolina seats. Out of the 15 up for election, there are 6 candidates I, Secular Lefty identify as being worthy of our support. They are:

From the website Ballotpedia, they inform us North Carolina's primary is a semi-closed primary. This means that only voters registered with the party may vote in their party's primary. Unaffiliated voters may vote in any party's primary.

The winner requires a plurality of votes above 30%. If no candidate meets 30% or higher, then the top two vote earners will move on to a runoff election.

From the National Conference of State Legislatures, they inform us voters have 25 days before an election to register to vote. Online voter registration is allowed. Same-day registration is permitted only during the early voting period.
