I don't really read current DC, but I did catch a good chunk of the Absolute Wonder Woman and enjoyed that a lot. If Mattel are doing a line of Absolute figures and are willing to do big pricey sets I could go for her with swappable armor pieces for multiple looks and the skeleton Pegasus.

Panel from Absolute Wonder Woman shows her flying on a skeleton Pegasus. She wears dark armor with a red-eyed helmet.

I love that they do these now, especially for the new guys.

That figure looks nice here, the leaked photos made it look like absolute trash. Curious to see what the reality is.

I would hit it with a dry brush or several light washes of a lighter blue.

Poor guy has probably been smashed at the bottom of so many collectors bins for decades. He’s been obsolete for a long time.

This is almost exactly what I pictured when they announced this one, though I did expect them to re-use the original portrait with a new hat. Looks good, and goes well with the Lara as he’s depicted this way in the comic.

It’s kind of funny, because this new figure is a vast improvement, but every time I see this new Mattel DC Batman, I think of the old DCSH Bats. I think it’s the plastic colors and the shading.

The nice thing is, I don't think they will have to do much to get us there from Jim Lee. New head, belt, gloves, and deco would work for me.

Sorry, I only ordered the one.

@bossfightstudio.bsky.social Immortal Champions on desk, freaking love these things!

I want to say there is an early issue of the comic where Scarlett protects an ambassador or something where a summit takes place at a ski resort.

on a side note it's odd for me to see somebody work the articulation like that and not have the figure try to kick its own ass because the only time I ever see anyone do that is in a Robo video review.

000

That does look pretty good for domestic super-articulation. I want to say the neck motion on the cheapie fig was better than that, but the torso movement is great compared to hasbro ball joints. The bending of the diaper I'm seeing there is not good looking, but hopefully it can be finessed.

Not exactly selling it to me with those comments for sure.

230

Huh. Never saw that. The shotgun blast of Batmen and Superman from McFarlane made it hard for me to follow what was going on over there. Hundreds of slightly different figures releasing in a constant firehose stream. I do like that bright blue.

It's funny, I saw these on insta already, but that close up of the old Lara fig is still a jump scare.

I hope the preorder is soon, these look further along in production to me.

Wake me up when they do Jim Aparo, Alan Davis, or Neal Adams Batman.

080

Oh, thank goodness they are finally making a Jim Lee Batman figure. Never had one of those before.

090

The Luke looks a lot better to me here.

140

I love that they name her Lara "Tomb Raider" Croft on the box like Tomb Raider is her official Joe Codename.

040

Is this thing a periscope and meant to replace the big-ass one the og figure had?

I do think the Ultramate concept is going to super-trigger the type of fan who currently whines about all the accessories they have in bins that they will never use.

GI Joe picture of the day: Big Ben (1993).

Toy photo: Big Ben, in his 1993 brown mail-in repaint, walks through the grass carrying a big machine gun (1987 Tunnel Rat's, which Hasbro packaged with the mail in kind of randomly, but I like the combo).

A long time ago I got these weird ball and socket skeleton toys. I thought the alien might make a good base for a Hybrid custom figure with a lot of apoxie sculpt added. The joints probably aren't tight enough to support the extra weight and I'm not sure where mine ended up...

Hybrid would be cool. He's got a classic movie monster vibe.

210

It kind of feels like they do one weirdo Marvel niche at a time and move on to the next. Like Crystar only got two figures, ROM the one, and now they are onto Micronauts. I hope I'm wrong because Terminator and Starshine would be epic. I also want the weird, lumpy Dire Wraith design from early ROM.

I really want to see M.A.S.K. and Void Rivals characters in Classified scale/style. Skuxxoid would be top of that Energon Universe list for me. Well, after ROM. I was thinking about a custom ROM, but that left arm and carpet would be a PITA.

The yellow shells on the chest are so cool.

The Grub is my personal fave.

Jurassic Park Mutadon. It struck me as kind of funny to shoot this bird-like little guy in my yard where tons of similarly-sized actual birds hang out. #toyphotography

Laser boys shooting lasers. #toyphotography

GI Joe Classified laser trooper Flash (Aah-ah!) walks in front of rubble and the HAL laser cannon, his laser gun at the ready. Flash Wears a green jumpsuit with large red quilted pads on the chest, biceps and thighs.

The HAL laser cannon fires two blue lasers from its double-barreled cannon. The gun hinges and swivels on a trailer hitch with support beams and there is a control seat off center for Grandslam who wears a green jumpsuit with red quilted padding on the chest, biceps, and thighs. The HAL is located in a blasted out urban area and Flash is crouched near the laser.

Cobra Valkyries. I like these, but I did lose one of the poorly secured knives almost immediately. Bought some shrink tubing based on a @fakeeyes.bsky.social rec to fix.

Three female cobra troopers cover each other as they run down a hallway with pipes and cracked walls.
