Now that Deadzone's design is solidifying I'm getting out my feelings on what his dynamic with Runback should be

digital sketch comic. Deadzone, left dismissively says "just keep that metal mutt away from me." his word balloon partially obscures Runback's (on the right) which is filled with gibberish text censoring her speech. She's making a rude gesture and has a comically angry face

GI Joe picture of the day: In a could-have-been DIC scene, T'Jbang (1992) and Psyche-Out (1991) capture the Baroness (LadyJayeToys 2024).

Toy photo; against a backdrop of chain-link fences, TJBang holds his double-bladed sword against the throat of the Baroness, clad in a dark-and-light blue outfit, while Psyche-Out, in his light blue Super Sonic Fighters outfit, interrogates her.

Operation Recall is now funding YEAR 2 figures on Kickstarter! I had the pleasure of illustrating Runback's desert look (and designing the deco for the figure!) Not only is her Desert Ops figure up for grabs but I have two more concepts coming in year two - Larvae and Deadzone! More on them soon!

digital illustration. Runback, a female Japanese soldier tosses a fresh magazine to the viewer, who has an outstretched gloved hand ready to catch it. Runback is wearing her fresh new desert camouflage pants and boonie hat, paired with a dark armored jacket that matches her boots. She wears a pair of augmented reality goggles stashed on top of her hat, with a small device strapped to her thigh with a glowing screen. She wields a HOWA Type 89 assault rifle, and is assisted by PAC-DOG a quadrupedal robot carrying a large pack of ammunition and supplies slung on it's underside, as well as a larger crate loaded on top.

Techno-Vipers can go anywhere on a Cobra base without raising questions, since everyone assumes they're doing maintenance. That makes their uniforms the perfect disguise for infiltrators. Today's GI Joe picture of the day is another entry in my weekly #TechnoViperTuesday series.
