There are different levels to claims and accusations. If you make a claim or accusation you have nothing to back it with, you can't expect people to believe you. When you bring evidence to the table, now you have something tangible, something people can look at. That's a key difference.

I wrote a poem inspired by the stress of moving and memories of my childhood home. It's called "On the Nature of Houses."

Top half of the image is green maple leaves while the bottom half is grey stone.

The poem reads as follows:
I remember when "a house" could be
Cradled in the crotch of a maple tree,
Hidden behind a willow's fall,
A nest of stamped-down grass once-tall,
Or spread within the soft confines
Of a trio of tall white pines.
All I needed to be at ease
Was a blanket, a stuffy, a tray for tea.
(A picnic would not go astray with chocolate milk and a PBJ.)

Now I run in an endless loop
Between a room and a storage chute
Hauling boxes, bags, and stuff
Because what I had was not enough.
Accumulation through the years,
Once was nice, but now brings tears
Of exhaustion and of stress,
Uncertainty and deep distress.
I miss the green beneath the gloam...
How I wish I could go home.
