Wurttemberg Garde Zu Fuss, AB miniatures 18mm (or old guard painted like them anyway) march out.

kuragin1812.bsky.social @kuragin1812.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I’ve been so good for 12 months all I’ve purchased and painted are 18mm Napoleonics… but I’m beginning to cast glances at oathmark dwarves. I’m going to keep imagining Napoleon shouting at me to keep the mania away.

AB miniatures, Wurttemberg Prinz Clemens, the glue is still drying on the flags and static grass, 1st Battalion. Next on the table are the Guard Zu Fuss

Slightly tardy getting these up, completed last weekend. Next battalion of line is actually almost done already.

Best of luck to the team at Gripping Beast when their retirement comes. Fingers crossed someone picks up their excellent line of miniatures.

A learning game of GdB with the eldest (8). Played a rearguard/river crossing. Had my arse handed to me, she got her cavalry across the river, the RHA performed superbly and that was goodnight Vienna for my French Allies.

Some work in progress of the Wurttemberg cavalry - accidentally did the officer trim for the saddle cloths for everyone, but I’m loathe to paint white over red with a yellow stripe at that scale, and it looks good.

A work in progress of the KGL 2nd line battalion. Should get washes, flags and basing done this weekend, then I think some Wurttemberg cavalry next.

A work in progress of 18mm ab Napoleonic KGL peninsular infantry, 2nd battalion in this case.

Tzolis looks a great signing, who needs Vini? We look very light without our England and Spain players though.

Back from a fab two weeks in Spain. Seems appropriate that I’m now finishing my thirties with Covid given how large they have loomed over my last half decade. Tried picking up a paintbrush earlier… nope.

The argument that school budgets are inadequate now and class sizes are too big because soon, with a falling birth rate, there will be fewer children basically boils down to: ‘you wouldn’t want to spend too much on education would you?’ Meanwhile I spend half a grand a year on classroom basics 🙄

🐓NEW: HANS COCKMAN 🐓 After an eternity alone, Turkey Man pleaded for a companion, one like him. Now that he has this friend, he longs for the days he could watch the football in peace, without mouth sounds and sighs punctuating the commentary. badsquiddogames.com/shop#!/Hans-...

The photo here is the moment a Turkeyman Hunter finally finds his lair, to be met with more than she bargained for. This photograph was found washed up by a river.

Photo details: lady in white robe with a torch, cock man and turkey man coming out of a mine shaft - 28mm diorama

Hans Cockman's favourite past time is collecting crisp packets. Ever since crisp packets were invented in the early 1920's, he's had this fascination with them. His collection spans over a century, and proudly contains those from across the world and limited edition designs such as those featuring The Spice Girls in 1998.

To preserve them he washes and irons them, and sorts by category. Tragically, due to his beak hands, there is occasionally an accident where some packets are shredded while sorting, much to Cockman's distress.

With exactly 1 month to go so far we have sold 6 tickets. Now I'm not expecting this to rival Salute or anything but as we need 20 people to cover the cost of hiring the shop before we get into the fundraising area I'd really appreciate it if this could be shared around a bit. Thanks! #SpreadTheLard
