these dudes hang out outside the hospitality house some nights, and every time, they BLAST their music. tonight, i went out and told them everybody in the house has cancer, and the kid whose window is closest to them just had chemo, and i asked if they would care to turn it down a little. 1/2

my mother in law is my “caregiver” while i’m staying here, and last night i was curled up in a ball because my tummy and back were really hurting before bed, and she came over and rubbed my shoulder and gave me a little smooch on the head and i just-excuse me a moment while i go cry 🥹

why do we continue to use “he or she,” when we have this awesome little gender all encompassing term like “they?” this is something that’s bothered me for a long time. “they” is is shorter. it’s more inclusive. yet we still use “he or she” in the year 2025?? rude thank you for coming to my ted talk
