Back in the 90s, we were in a staff meeting at the TBC radio network and a certain media honcho (he's dead now) said, to a round of applause, that we don't change a winning team (Vibe CT 105 FM). Weeks later? He changed the winning team. Dumb SOB.

This is what TTT-Trinidad and Tobago's lone TV station looked like from 1962 right up until the coup attempt in 1990. Today, the edifice is ringed by a steel fence with security on hand 24/7. Sure do miss the old days.

Trinidad and Tobago Television (TTT), which was launched in 1962, did not broadcast in color until early 1977. Full credit goes to its then Chairman, James Alva Bain. He sent a formal request to the Government to make the change (1)
