The Rick and Morty President spinoff should not be as funny as it is but I guess this is what you get when you take the Roiland out of the RM creator duo. It has meta jokes but never in bad taste because they know they still want to tell stories. Already learned the lesson R&M had to get through.

4.6k words into the final chapter now, out of probably like 20k. It's happening. Unfortunately not before I get my hands on Fire Emblem, but I have a month to finish it and with another week or two of idle brainstorming I'll get there.

In relation to this whole debacle: Turns out, not a single retailer in Iceland had Fortune's Weave stocked on Thursday, and still don't. I ended up committing the grave sin of resorting to ebay, since I figured I'd have to ship the game anyway if I wamted physical, and I found a cheaper scalper.

What if the queer community had the same relationship to Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes as they do with Rocky Horror?

Saw the Talarico soundbite last night and incredibly disappointed to wake up and see the community having fallen for it hook line and sinker. How do progressive dems expect to win if you can't even vaguely cushion armchair transphobes about the propaganda they've been fed.

If you're not reading Hawks & Violets, you're missing out! It's a delightful combination of supernatural adventure, high school comedy, and trans het romance starring one of the best-realized protagonists I've encountered in a while! Highly recommend! #transgender #books #urbanfantasy

Been preparing for it all week but damn I'm still so gutted by the EU referendum. I don't want to hear a single one of us claiming we're somehow better than other countries. Money still has a lot of roots in Iceland and they're gonna be extra motivated to interfere more now that they know it works.

Thinking again about the guy I met on the dating app who started yapping about loving to read toxic yuri, and shut down the conversation from anxiety before I could decide if it was worth saying anything Has she figured something out yet? Would it be weird to prompt her with something a year later?

Got my first ever political campaigner phone call and it was the fucking 'No' vote coalition for the upcoming EU referendum 😭 Like they're so silly we just wanna go see what EU's willing to offer and what the terms will be and they're desperately arguing we don't want to even look at our options

There's such a thrill to the part of writing where you've passed the 85% mark of the way there and you can just taste the end. Especially when Hawks & Violets has been such a toughie to get done with the wordcount for each chapter.

Ches @krispa.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

The 'panic' around Lia Thomas was about creating a target people could point at while demanding exclusion. So much of what people “know” about Lia comes from manufactured outrage and years of misinformation repeated without context. We commissioned this comic to break down the actual story. 1/2

Cartoon of Lia Thomas with purple hair, smiling and holding a trophy, making a peace sign. Background features a trans flag and text about sports inclusivity.

A swimmer in the water with text overlay: "Lia's college swimming career began in 2017. Aged 18, she joined the University of Pennsylvania men's swimming team. Like most young athletes, her performances improved with age and experience."

Swimmer's in the water with text overlay: "Her overall best US ranking in the men's competition was 11th after placing 1st and 2nd in several events, including the 200 and 500 yard freestyle between 2017 and 2019."

A swimmer looking at the water in a red swimming costume and bathing cap, with a text overlay: "In 2019 she started HRT as part of her transition. Her performances dropped dramatically. She ranked 65th in the 500 yard free and 554th in the 200 yard free. Overall her US ranking dropped to 63rd."

The winners list never fails to amaze. At least Yuri on Ice wasn't the most obvious anime equivalent of a big budget franchise blockbuster. Trying to make an award for some legitimacy to the medium means nothing if you don't give judges more weight on the scale. It's just a biggest marketing award.

I am enjoying the hell out of Lego Batman but it amuses/bothers me to hear the voice and character direction for Batman where he just has the personality of an MCU protagonist. I know the game is comedic but they swapped out all the brooding with dialogue quips and it feels wrong 😭
