Venom was a mandate by Avi Arad which was a bad idea to enforce onto Sam Raimi, who had no affinity for Venom as he was more of a 60’s-70’s reader Harry frankly should have been the lead antagonist, but was sidelined for a scatterbrained narrative This was going to be in SM3 regardless

This decision actively hurts the Raimi Trilogy for me Seeing the first two movies in cinemas for the first time with a fresh experience was like having the pieces click into place for me. So much of those movies are tainted by this one decision to justify it’s story on “Revenge Bad”

For my second, more mainstream opinion Making Flint Marko Uncle Ben's killer was the actual worst decision for Spider-Man 3. You completely ignore the emotional catharsis Peter during Spider-Man 2, having him overcome his guilt. For a weak excuse to connect Sandman to Peter.
