Can’t help but note the irony that pistons fans spent the first 3 games complaining about Brunson being a foul merchant and an unethical grifter (unlike the Detroit tough guys) - yet are now complaining about a foul call w/ THJ leaning into a defender.

I want to tell you why the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia should matter to you. The one power you cannot give the executive is the ability to imprison or expel anyone regardless of their legal rights. That is our key check against autocracy. And we are watching it disappear.

100k people marching, but I have the bad feeling they're (we're) going to end up with Cuomo as Mayor. It's not enough to march in the streets, we need to put strong progressive people in leadership roles, not centerist Democrats.

The FAA is facing its first major aviation disaster in 16 years without a leader because Elon Musk helped push him out. The former FAA administrator stepped down on Jan. 20th after Musk called on him to resign. Musk was angry after the FAA fined SpaceX for failing to get approval for launch changes.

I wrote about how Congress has turned into a senior center. How many AOCs are never elected because 80-year-olds refuse to step down? How many young lawmakers don’t acquire leadership roles — and miss out on years of experience — because seniority is prized above anything else?

Post by Scott Dworkin:

CNN averaged only about 260,000 viewers per day, losing out to channels like Bravo and The Food Network. After CNN spent years relentlessly attacking Biden and Harris, while sane-washing Trump and his cult members, this ratings disaster is well-deserved.

In 2018 Dems elected the largest class to Congress since Watergate, ~60 seats. A lot of it was, yes, Trump backlash. But the winners also had another thing in common, despite a wide range of differences: most rejected corporate PAC money. It’s a hugely compelling factor to voters & underdiscussed
