I'm not disagreeing that the SC didn't make an absurd and immoral ruling, I'm just pointing out that they are basing their decision on the law that Congress gave them. We might not have to pack the court if Congress would fix the laws. I know, cold day in hell...

I read the first part of the opinion, and the SC argument is that the text of the immigration law has no requirement for clear and convincing evidence of a crime. Given this argument, I'm not sure the hyperbole about the SC ignoring the rule of law is accurate. Also, Congress can easily fix it.
