Though weirdly I do love the noise of the brakes screaming as a Eurostar pulls into St Pancras. I probably have good associations there of trips to Paris

I should have bought earplugs with me to London today. For some reason everything feels extra loud

Sunday afternoon and my first time baking in ages. Hit up @nationaltrust.org.uk ‘s 70 biscuit recipes to make Cragside Crackles and dark chocolate crinkles. Tried one of the Cragside ones and there’s a nice mix of spice in there

A cooling rack containing 28 golden oatie biscuits with a hint of sugar glaze.

A cooling tray containing 18 chocolate biscuits. The top has crinkled and split like crazy paving with icing sugar on the surface

As someone who has to do EMR to London for work Seatfrog is my friend for getting a better service. I do set myself a limit though and draw the line if the price climbs

I’m annoyed at myself - I missed a Distant Worlds email so only realised it’s back at the Royal Albert Hall for the 40th anniversary of Final Fantasy when I got an email from RAH today. Just barely scraped in with a seat at the back of a second tier box but I can’t miss this experience

Apparently I read a lot in different genres, watch movies, play video games, do crafting and like lightweight travel gear. Very dull indeed!

I was feeling my tired so headed up to bed. Then managed to knock my jewellery box over behind a cupboard. Having had to rescue the jewellery I am now not tired which is so annoying!

Johannes is an absolute delight and I’m hoping he settles in. I do also think he’d be a more genuine form of ‘Tess empathising with contestants just after the dance’ too. I kind of assumed Josh would be upstairs so the new pun would be the Josh Pit 😁

Tanya Peasgood @kittenkong.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Just caught up on Strictly. Pretty good start to the series. Will I think underscored due to being so early, Katya absolutely got the best out of John, and Delta nailed that samba. Think I’d prefer Jojo and Josh to swap roles, Emma is of course perfect.

Even when you don’t try it’s easy to do 10000 steps a day in London. Wandered to Westminster pier, headed to Greenwich and around there, headed back and done. I didn’t even have to head up the big hill

010

Tanya Peasgood @kittenkong.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Making use of things built by the company I work for - I used the Uber Boats App to get my ticket and plan my “I’m not walking as far” day. 37000 steps in 2 days and counting.

000

Tanya Peasgood @kittenkong.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I’m including myself in that! And my legs are now killing me (but I have walked 38000 steps in 2 days…)

After terrible luck with the gachapon at the Bandai Namco store in Camden (2 the same and not the one I wanted) I nailed it with the blind boxes at Pop Mart. I absolutely wanted rainbow Thor and Loid from Spy Family.

My blind boxes - 2 little models. One is Thor bursting h the rough the rainbow bridge with an ice covered mjolnir. The other is Loid Forger (Twilight) from Spy Family sitting at a table eating breakfast.

8000 steps so far today around Camden - it’s not fancy but it justifies stopping at a Wetherspoons for lunch because I was right next to it 😂

And it was very cool to be on a boat that once we hit London every other vessel (the party boats out and about) were saluting with horns so our ship answered. And then Tower Bridge did that too as we passed under

First day of a long weekend in London yesterday. I headed to Southend and walked along the longest pier in the world. Then headed back to London on the only sea going paddle steamer - The Waverley. Great views, and lots of steps!

Tanya Peasgood @kittenkong.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Onboard the Waverley paddle steamer heading up the Thames and the skipper just said “can you please refrain from using flash photography forward of the bridge. You’re dazzling people whose night vision you are relying on.” 😂

I shared my photo of a swan with my boss whilst chatting about iPhone cameras. He asked if he could get it printed for our new office. I didn’t expect it to be this big! That’s 1.7m x 1m

It’s a very large canvas print of a swan serenely gliding in dark rippled water with an almost perfect reflection. It’s resting on a chair in the lobby and dwarfing it because it’s stupidly big

The sky decided to be very melodramatic on the east coast today - lunchtime at Mablethorpe.

A view across a beach to the North Sea. The wide expanse of sand has a sign and some traffic cones. A few people brave the waters edge. The water is dull and dark under a sky full of cloud. Layers of clouds with the foreground being grey edged white. But the bank of cloud further out and north is almost blue black

Talking phones at work and showed my boss this pic I took with my iPhone. He then asked if he could have the original to print up for the office. That made me happy!

A photo of a swan swimming serenely from right to left. There is an almost perfect reflection in water that is ripples of green due to the light filtering through trees.

When in Liverpool I have to go to Kenji - I gave two colleagues the choice of yellow or grey cat for the pen I’m giving them. Handily they each picked a different one!

Two pens from Kenji that have 10 colours of ink. Both have cat pen toppers - one is grey and angry, the other is orangey yellow and cute

So having now fully read the new Teen Titans comic I love it. The art is good, the story shows promise, the kids are behaving like kids, and Red Hood is exhibiting his protective streak and carrying guns. A good Jason Todd story in 2026 - it’s a miracle!

Hello there to the new Teen Titans leader - a Jason Todd who does not look like he’s a rough 40 year old (or a Bruce clone)

A shirtless Jason Todd talking to the maybe vigilantes he’s about to take on. He has the famous white streak in his hair, is heavily muscled but not built like a tank. He has visible scars but not the equally infamous autopsy or batarang scars

A shirtless Jason Todd is about to head for a shower when the doorbell rings. The shot shows heavy arm muscles. Here we can see his face is lean and angular with his hair falling into the heart shaped bangs he had as Robin

The Thames is not looking its best right now - bit of a diet here as it’s half the river it should be.

The River Thames seen from Kew Bridge. In the foreground is Kew Pier and the. The water stretches into the distance under a clouded sky. It’s about half the river it should be as wide stretches of bank are visible on both sides
