An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 7hI agree. He needs to be removed. But the Second Amendment doesn't legalize insurrection. He needs to be impeached and removed by Congress. And we have a Congressional election going on. 100
An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 9hAre you saying that more people need to join the National Guard? That doesn't seem like a quick fix. 200
An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 9hThe Second Amendment doesn't legalize insurrection. The steps for Constitutionally removing a President are either vote for someone different in the next election, or convince Congress to impeach and Remove them. 100
An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 9hYes, because the Second Amendment didn't have anything to do with private gun ownership before 2008, and it shouldn't. It's about something else entirely. 010
An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 9hNo. The Second Amendment is meant to protect a division of military power, the continuation of the State Militia we call the National Guard, to minimize the impact a dictator like Trump can have domestically, but it doesn't legalize insurrection. 110

An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 03/10/2026The only people who would knowingly oppose that division of power are people who want the US to become an Autocracy, not those who support our Republic as designed. 011
An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Tyranny is the consolidation of power. His ruling didn't make it legal for non-citizens to vote, he simply said that the Constitution says elections are up to State Governments not the Federal government, a Constitutional division of power. Thus the ruling was the opposite of tyranny. 121
An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 03/10/2026It's amazing to me how quickly people will demand tyranny while saying they oppose it. Twitter is now full of people claiming we need to impeach a Judge for "allowing non-citizens to vote" claiming it's Judicial Tyranny - when his ruling was the opposite. 131

An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 25/09/2026A better reminder isn't just that the 2A exists, it's what it's for, and that it's not about personal firearms ownership. Which is why I shared my reminder. 000
An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I got the message loud and clear—the "armed insurrection as a political check" idea. Dressing it up as a "hidden message" or dog whistle doesn't change the fact that it's a modern fantasy, not what the Framers wrote. 100
An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 25/09/2026No, that's not the primary reason for the division. It's to keep domestic deployments comprised of local state militia. Federal U.S. troops are not supposed to be deployed against U.S. citizens. The Framers designed it such becuase they didn't like how British Arms were deployed against us. 000

An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Not really. The 2A doesn't legalize insurrection; it just ensures the continuation and effectiveness of the organized state militia to ensure there's a division of military power. 100
An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 25/09/2026It's an obligation at the state level. They have to ensure the continuation and effectiveness of the National Guard if the Federal Government neglects to do so. But the 2A isn't about personal firearms. 001

An American @kittenhawk1.bsky.social · 23/09/2026They are trying to remove private gun ownership rights from minorities already (which isn't what the 2A protects).
