Fuck ChatGPT flyers. The future is broadsheets.
A crowded broadsheet with way too many fonts. It says:
Forget ChatGPT Flyers

Broadsheets
Unlimited fonts
Stretch them
Or cram a really long sentence into one line for no good reason
No whitespace
Mix capital and lowercase
Pointing hands
(They're called manicules!)
Don't be left behind

Happy birthday to one of the most iconic chase duos in cartoons, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote! Created as a parody of chase cartoons like Tom and Jerry, the physics and contraptions, including the comedic timing of it make these two legends. #LooneyTunes #CoyotevsACME

The most absolutely massive flex from the state fair exhibit. This quilt is made of 40 years of prize ribbons from various categories at the New Mexico State Fair won by Carol St. Clair Johnson. She also won a prize for this quilt.

satin ribbons

After unexpectedly winning her first blue ribbon for a sewn cape in 1981, Carol St. Clair Johnson developed an enduring love for the New Mexico State Fair. The quilt Fair New Mexico-41 Fair Years incorporates more than six hundred of the ribbons she won at the fair every subsequent year except 2020 (when the fair was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic). Johnson earned ribbons for needlework, knitting, crochet, pies, cookies, cakes, canning, jewelry, flowers, vegetables, and potted plants. The title of the quilt is a reference to the state song, and the design places the state's Zia sun symbol at the center. The quilt earned Johnson yet another ribbon: Best in Category (miscellaneous quilt) at the 2023 New Mexico State Fair.

i hate how much people care about their ships being "canon" now. spirk fans didn't publish zines full of fanfics in the 70s only for modern fandom to grovel at the knees of corporations and beg for things to be canon. use your imaginations, don't allow billionaires to think for you.

thank you to Portland’s DIY Bar for letting you use your own design with their string art kits, I’ve never been prouder of anything made by these two clumsy-ass hands
a string art MASTERPIECE hahahaha

three small boards fastened together and painted hot pink. the string art design is a Vulcan IDIC symbol, basically a big blue circle with a slightly off center hole (something between a bagel and the Death Star) and then a smaller black circle inside the hole. At an angle, a big gold triangle with a black border intersects with the two concentric circles, so its point just touches the black dot. IDIC stands for “Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations.”

tumblr post with a screenshot of an article titled “Blind Bisexual Goose Named Thomas Who
Spent Six Years in a Love Triangle With Two Swans And Helped Raise 68 Babies Dies at The Ripe Old Age Of 40”

subheading: He's a bit much

MAY 29, 2024

RIP to the legendtumblr post continues

This goose fucking rocks and had a crazy life!
(link to Thomas’ wikipedia article)

I really just have to summarize Thomas's entire life:

• He was in a committed relationship with a male swan named Henry for 18-24 years before a female swan named Henrietta showed up and mated with Henry.
• Thomas was initially jealous of the pair and attacked them, breaking 2 of the 5 eggs Henrietta had laid. However, once the remaining eggs hatched, Thomas warmed up to them and helped raise them.
• Henry couldn't fly because of an injured wing, so Thomas taught the cygnets how to fly.
• When they needed to reduce the goose population in the pond where Thomas and the swans lived, they dyed Thomas's feathers red so he wouldn't be separated from Henry.
• Henry, Henrietta, and Thomas remained in their happy throuple for years and raised 68 cygnets before Henry died in 2009. After Henry's death, Henrietta found another swan and flew away, leaving Thomas alone.
•Thomas finally met and mated with a female goose in 2011 and had his own babies. However, another goose named George stole them and raised them himself.
• As Thomas grew elderly and blind, he was relocated to a wildlife center where he raised orphaned cygnets.
• His caretaker at the center described him as "pretty high maintenance."
• Thomas died in 2018 at the age of around 40. He had a funeral that included a small coffin and a procession that was led by a bagpiper.
He was buried under the stone where Henry was buried, the two finally reunited in death.
• Before and after his death, Thomas has been celebrated as an icon of the LGBTQ+ community for obvious reasons.

Plaid shirt, mesh trucker cap, suspenders. He went up to the display and just stood there for a long moment. Then he came up to the desk. 🧵 1/

STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND LOOK AT THIS TUFTED PYGMY SQUIRREL
A tufted pygmy squirrel (Exilisciurus whiteheadi), found only in Borneo’s mountain forests—at elevations of more than 3,280.8 ft (1,000 m)—this tiny critter is one of the world’s smallest squirrels. It grows up to 3.4 in (8.6 cm) long. And at about 0.8 oz (22.7 g), adults typically weigh less than half a stick of butter! Easily recognizable thanks to its ear tufts, this species feeds primarily on moss and lichens.
