I took both microeconomics and macroeconomics in college, and neither one of those classes--nor any other class--bothered to teach the basic rules and goals of the economic game we're all forced to live and die by. Because the game is rigged, and they want us to NOT know the rules.

The 1980s-1990s were a period of time where society was transitioning from the previous model of “No means Yes,” to “No means No.” In the late 1990s & early 2000s, we started to move toward “anything other than enthusiastic Yes should be taken as No,” but lots of folk still haven’t gotten the word.
