There are RULES for gov’t documents—who has them, sees them, keeps them, where they’re kept—because they’re a record of gov’t business. Not open to all—but containing the doings & ACCOUNTABILITY of what our gov’t does. The Nat’l Archives stores much of that vital data. DJT fired the archivist.

Been routing around in the Local Rumor Control Project during WWII, specifically in the Denver office. The rich will always only worry about themselves. This is a class war, always has been. www.loc.gov/resource/afc... #edusky #sschat
Differently stated the rumor is heard that the Administration jockeyed Japan and Germany into such a position that was was inevitable. Undoubtedly there are large groups of people in cities such as Denver who do not appreciate the fact that years of preparation and effort were made by Japan before action commenced at Pearl Harbor. They do not appreciate the fact that German newspapers were stating that President Roosevelt was endeavoring to line our country with Russian communism and Bolshevism before Germany declared war on this country.

(In our opinion, there are numerous wealthy persons who hate so intensely the thought of being deprived of their present comfort and wealth because of increased taxes, etc., that they have become bitter and are taking it out on the Administration by criticizing the country in every possible way.)

👏 The question is: how do we ensure AI remains a tool for learning rather than a crutch? 👏 The first step is recognizing the power AI can contain for teachers and students, the second recognizing the drawbacks, and third, finding a way forward. Flat out bans will never work.

You know Currier & Ives for their picturesque winter scenes. But have you heard of their Darktown Comics? These wildly popular prints mocked Black ambition and sold white supremacy. My latest post dives into "The Cruelty of the Darktown Comics." forgottenfiles.substack.com/p/the-cruelt...
A Currier & Ives Darktown print titled "A Darktown Lawn Party" depicts a grotesque caricature of a social gathering. A well-dressed Black couple stands at a table under a bright red umbrella, exaggerated features mocking their attempt at sophistication. In the background, chaos unfolds: a bull charges through smoke, a woman struggles with a crying child, and others are depicted in clumsy or absurd poses. The scene ridicules Black leisure and social aspiration, reinforcing racist stereotypes common in 19th-century visual culture.A Currier & Ives Darktown print titled "A Darktown Lawn Party: A Bully Time" depicts a chaotic and grotesque scene. A bull charges through the lawn, trampling over a well-dressed Black woman and tearing apart a red umbrella. Black figures with exaggerated features react in absurd, panicked ways—one climbs a tree, another falls backward, and others flee in disarray. The scene mocks Black leisure and social aspirations, portraying them as clumsy and incompetent, reinforcing racist stereotypes of the 19th century.
