Lily passed away on August 27th. I needed a lot of time to process (still do) but she's been such a huge part of my life and even my streams. Always speaking her mind and letting everyone know what she thinks. I'm going to miss that the most. I love you, Lily. ♥️

Even then, Tokon won't function unless Sony fixes their forced implementation of EAC and their stupid PSN overlay so it doesn't gorge on memory like a starving black hole. An entire platform can't be unplayable like it is rn.

They're all good games in their own right but you really only get a few chances to make a good first impression if you make one at all. Strive and Street Fighter 5 both survived disastrous first impressions, but they were given time to fix itself. Outside of Tokon, idk if these games can get that.

Once these games finally came out, they were just onset by bs that sucks. No positive marketing (2XKO), lay-offs (2XKO and Invincible VS), anti-consumer DRM that explodes CPUs (Tokon), or just not letting the dev time deliver a finished product so they could release it with a movie (Avatar).

None of these are a DNF Duel/Nen Impact situation where the devs just let the ball drop, outside of maybe 2XKO's ridiculous development time and how many times they rebooted the game (maybe the name choice?).

It's insane how Riot, Sony, Paramount, and Skybound all don't understand how to let their teams cook and have ridiculous expectations for fighting games, while still taking the dev teams out by the knees for all four releases this year. Yeah some of the games had problems (or dev problems) but cmon.

Yeah, this is what I mean. It technically came out in January, but the Early Access/Season 0 period started in October of last year but no one knew!!! All people knew was "it's coming out sometime soon and doesn't have that many characters" but Season 0 came out with TWO!!

The only people who saw the updates about the game updating and doing better were the people already invested/playing. Everyone else though the game died in like Feb because of the marketing being awful not that the game didn't have issues, it did/does but it's not BAD

It's wild that all of the 2XKO updates were relegated to the 2XKO social medias and the only time Riot gave the game a major signal boost was to announce scaled back development and lay-offs instead of... idk the major season updates or new characters or entry numbers at tournaments
