Skeleton Farmer is a somewhat surreal dream like farming game where you grow enough wheat to make a loaf of bread. It takes about 40 minutes to complete and I'm pretty happy with it. kheto.itch.io/skeleton-far...

My overall opinions about what will happen to personal computing are very pessimistic, so I think it will be a case of making the most of a decline. Open source software is ultimately collaboration between like-minded people though, so I think that will hold out the longest.

With the scaffolding of the games industry being removed, I really think stuff like Godot are the future. Even if you prefer stuff like Unreal, it relies on a way of doing business that is too fickle to sustain. I think we're all going to get more scrappy and used to open source stuff.

Even less bothered about the next TES game than I was before. Any of the magic left over from Morrowind gets diluted every time but I suspect this will pour away the last of it.

I've really been interested in using Photos + Procedural tools to create diffuse textures quickly. I couldnt help myself when I saw @lucyfovz.bsky.social's bread dough and decided to see what I could do with it. I ended up with a Alien looking cavern texture set in roughly 40 mins.

For some reason my skeleton game gets the most exposure from freesound.org I left a comment on all the sounds I used with a link to the game and they get clicked more than any other place I share it Maybe it's just bots crawling over the dead internet though

$era. Having to hire human workers who might have pesky demands for more pay, better hours, or better working conditions is but a nuisance to them. They want to streamline their businesses by - ideally - not needing to hire humans at all. They are being sold a dream of a 100% agent operated business where they purchase tokens instead of labor hours, and at a fraction of the cost. After all, agents won't ever try to unionize. They don't need weekends off. They don't get sick or fall pregnant. They can't strike. They won't fight back. When the one of the last vestiges of upward mobility ("just learn to code") is being increasingly proletarianized and made redundant, it signals that the owner class has completely abandoned the notion that a minimum quality of life must be made possible for workers, even aspirationally. The oligarchs of old used to talk about a "riot tax": some minimal concessions by capitalism to prevent the working class from an uprising; a base level standard of comfort that would quell a revolution. Our modern day oligarchs no longer feel such impulses. They (either rightly or wrongly) predict that no such uprising will occur, even if their wildest dreams come true and 25% of the workforce becomes unemployed and unemployable.$

My initial idea is to add some kind of gambling mechanism, either via Twitch or a game client. Then I'd like the betting to have subtle effects on the world with athlete popularity getting them better careers and stuff. I'd also like to add too much complexity to the world they're in.
