Passed away yesterday: Moroccan #poet Mohamed Serghini. Born in Fes (1930). Studied in Fes, Baghdad, Rabat, Paris. First poetry collection in 1987. Contributed to several journals including "Aqlam". Published on Salah Stétié. Translated Arrabal. Awarded the Argana International Poetry Prize (2004).

Passed away last Tuesday: Moroccan writer, journalist, and translator Abdeslam Touil. Born in 1963 near Asilah. Studied philosophy in Rabat. Worked as a teacher. Joined the Moroccan Writers Union in 1992. Contributed to local periodicals and published several cross-genre works.
