I posted something like on Instagram, but I’m gonna post this here: I’m a teacher and this Kirk 🔫 response has driven me crazy. We can all hate political violence. But the same level of outrage not happening when school 🔫 happens is insane

You can tell they never consulted teachers because we know majority of them are going to ask about the dankest memes of their time

Anyone who says “teachers should just do this because it’s best for students” has never stepped foot in a classroom

Checked out threads for the first time in forever and saw comments advocating that it’s okay to hit protestors with cars if they are in the way.

Introduce yourself with your worst feedback from school 👇 I’m Steve and if you’re not up until midnight working on work most nights you’re not committed to becoming a teacher (from my cooperating teacher while student teaching) #edusky

It’s like the whole Mr Beast (I teach middle school, I have to be knowledgeable about him) thing about him becoming a politician and finding the middle ground of both sides. It doesn’t work. One side wants to ban rights. They need to see hatred isn’t wanted here

To be able to take this time off with our first born son, and to take him to my parents new home only 30 minutes away…I will cherish this time forever #dads

Here’s my unneeded two cents into the echo chamber discussion: 1) going through #edusky and other communities I’m interested in are much easier over here and 2) there are not Yahtzees or if there are, it is much easier to block them If that makes this an echo chamber, make the bad site one for them

Got accepted to one of the two EdD programs I applied to yesterday, but find out about my first choice next Friday. Regardless of what happens with that one, so excited to continue my education and challenge myself on a whole new level #EdD #EduSky

There’s so much misinformation out there on what actually happens in a classroom and school each day. Teachers of Bluesky, what’s your school day like? I’ll explain mine below, but I might need to pause at some point if Mr. Baby wakes up #teacher #edusky 🧵⬇️

I’m sorry. If Ryan Walters is nominated as Education Secretary, and he tries his Bible stunt, I’d be willing to be fired for that. And I’m a Christian (I mean, in theory) 🧵

One of the things that I miss most about teaching right now is the energy I get to show, no joke. Trying to make math fun for a bunch of 13-14 years is a worthwhile challenge

Just watched Hell Camp: Teen Nightmare and what strikes me is how many people DONT show remorse. Like one Dad, after hearing all the crap his son went through, straight up said, “I should have left you there.” The head guys wife being like, “We had money.”

What’s weird about teaching is you can have the worst and best day on the same day. I went from having a complete emotional breakdown in the staff lounge to being so impressed with my students two hours later.
