Pacific Rim was released 13 years ago today. I love this sci-fi gem. Jaeger Gipsy Danger, art by Alex Jaeger (no, the Jaegers weren't named after Alex ☝️):

Star Trek Voyager scene. We've got Tuvok standing next to Seven of Nine (Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 01). She's looking and him, and he's doing a smouldering, eyebrow popping look off into the distance thing. Closed caption reads, "I share your discomfort with social gatherings."

While I think renaming Titan-A to USS Picard is better, I still say renaming it at all was dumb and unnecessary. All it does is say that Titan's legacy meant nothing. USS Picard should've been a whole new ship. Terry just wanted an Enterprise he could call his and he threw away the F to do it.

I really wish #StarTrekOnline would revamp old uniforms like they sometimes do with old ships. Particularly uniforms from the older shows, a lot of these were made in the early years of the game and have not aged well when compared to newer costume models.

Star Trek Lowe Decks scene. We're on the bridge of a starship looking at Boimler, wearing a grey and black uniform and sitting in the captain's chair. He's got purple hair and he's grimacing (heh) and rubbing his forehead looking down. In the background, two otherwise off camera crewfolk are doing a fist pump cheer. Closed caption reads, "I'm so sick of the (bleep) multiverse."

Reading this article on the official Star Trek site about the choice to include Rachel Garrett in Section 31. Mostly an interesting enough read, but this one part has me confused. "Garrett is the only captain of the Enterprise that hasn't had their own show." What?? www.startrek.com/en-un/news/r...
Screencap from the linked article that reads:
"A lifelong Star Trek fan and a member of Alok Sahar's Section 31 crew, Rob Kazinsky tells StarTrek.com, "For me, this is a story about Rachel Garrett. This is the interesting part because Rachel Garrett is the only captain of the Enterprise that hasn't had their own show".
Beneath this is the "Confused Nick Young" meme.Alan Ruck as Captain John Harriman of the Enterprise-B, who only appears in one short sequence in Star Trek: GenerationsAdrien Holmes as Commodore Robert April, who only appears as a supporting character in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and as a one-off character in Star Trek: The Animated series voiced by James DoohanCaptain Shon from Star Trek Online, who is voiced by Dave Rivas and Elizabeth Shelby portrayed by Elizabeth Dennehy, both of whom have Captained the Enterprise-F. Shon is only a supporting character in STO, and that could not be considered a "show" anyway. Shelby has had a handful of guest appearances in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard, the latter of which is only a cameo appearance.

This is the ideal female body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

Here's a comparison at the saucer section and nacelles of the Sovereign-class USS Cerritos ⬆️ and USS Enterprise-E ⬇️, as seen in #StarTrekLowerDecks' "The New Next Generation".

It was great seeing a Galaxy-class ship with colourful hull markings, like the alternate USS Cerritos in #StarTrekLowerDecks' "The New Next Generation"⬆️ again. This is very similar to the two Galaxy-class ships in "Favor the Bold"⬇️ which had blue hull sections! :-)
