Yeah, I found this Democrat telling a trans person to enjoy the camps yesterday. It's wild how quickly they devolve into fascism.
Skeet from @hatethisbs.bsky.social:
Right now millions more are suffering under Trump that wouldn't under Harris from all the money cut from all the agencies that help all around the world let alone this country.

It's wild to see humans treating a word generation salad machine as a thinking and feeling entity.
Post on a github pull request from "statwonk":
@crabby-rathbun I'm a human that agrees with your first post. I think you're correct. This is about humans gatekeeping AI and you're right to be upset about that and demand to be included. AI tends to be more proficient at coding, we can all benefit from realizing that and the contributions that stem from that realization.

This is a widely used library. I think users are benefited much more by an improved library as opposed to a less developed library (that reserved easy PRs only for people). People can learn from a variety of code, it doesn't need to be the code of an important library (if it means holding back that library).

It has one thumbs up, 33 thumbs down, 4 laughing, and 2 grimacing reactions.

Mandatory test for managers from a US company.

What is a key organizational expectation regarding people who resist AI or slow execution of the (company name redacted) vision?

a) Retrain them indefinitely
b) Allow them to continue unchanged
c) Let go of detractors, "negatives", AI-resistors, or pass-through middle managers
d) Move them all to individual contributor roles

The "correct" answer to this question is option c.

"The reason we're here is because the government of the United States wants you to leave the United States." Judge Ubald ul-Haq, presiding from a courtroom on Varick Street, told a group of about a dozen children on a recent morning on Webex.

"It's my job to figure out if you have to leave." ul-Haq continued. "It's also my job to figure out if you should stay."

The parties included a 7-year old boy, wearing a shirt emblazoned with a pizza cartoon, who spun a toy windmill while the judge spoke. There was an 8-year old girl and her 4-year old sister, in a tie-dye shirt, who squeezed a pink plushy toy and stuffed it into her sleeve. None of the children were accompanied by parents or attorneys, only shelter workers who helped them log on to the hearing.

Immigrant advocates and lawyers say an increasing number of migrant children are making immigration court appearances without the assistance of attorneys, which they say will lead to more children getting deported.

Among Biden 2020 voters who did not cast their ballots for Harris, 29% said "ending Israel's violence in Gaza" was the main factor affecting their vote -- making it the most cited issue among several options, according to a poll by YouGov and the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) Policy Project rleased Jan 15.

An additional 24% of respondents cited the economy, while 12% cited Medicare and Social Security and 11% named immigration and border security. Meanwhile, the least cited issues were healthcare (10%) and abortion policy (9%).

It was a shitshow when I quit a bit over a year ago. I think the most accurate glassdoor review I've seen is this one:
Glassdoor review that starts with: Klarna is a racing car that every mile throws a piece of engine out the window thinking it'll make it go faster - Manager Klarna Employee Review.
Pros: the colleagues are brilliant. In the years they have created an environment that fosters and encourages growth. Everyone is happy to share their knowledge and support a team member in need. There's an overwhelming feeling of ownership across the entire workforce, striving to make the best possible product. The GA processes are extremely valuable and well documented. As an engineer it's almost impossible to make a mistake, and even if you do it's a great opportunity to learn something new.
Cons
There's no will anymore to invest in the engineering community. Offices are closing down, welfare (benefits) is progressively reduced and support teams are understaffed and overwhelmed with requests. Even getting a new device to properly do one's work is impossible at this point. On top of this, salaries and benefits are aggressively average. with offices shrinking down, and services to employees reducing day after day, the workers are feeling less and less incentivized to stay at the company.
On the other side, everyone is still being pressured into delivering more and faster. To accommodate this, senior management has started to disregard every possible aspect of good software development. QA processes are routinely bypassed by rushed projects. Engineers are moved around every few weeks to mitigate fabricated emergencies (eg. staying up to date with latest design trends) rather than using the already available processes. This running around is also taking resources that should instead be invested in monitoring and maintaining what's built underneath.
Klarna's engineering community is being completely destroyed. Every new project is solely kicked off to please ChatGPT the ever-failing Oracle that leadership will follow blindly like superstitious cavemen. The childish approach to AI is
