I've been working on an infinite runner for mobile but ran into issues with performance, so i've decided to cut down on the realtime lighting and fancy shaders in place of vertex shading. Some more cheeky #GodotEngine 'watch-dev'. On the one hand, was an interesting challenge thinking of a game that made sense on the form factor. Only radial game I could think of was old school Tempest. On the other, these devices clearly aren't made for it. I rinsed the battery in no time!

I updated my free Godot addons to 4.5! codeberg.org/MajorMcDoom/... This is good if you've updated to Godot 4.5. But if you're staying on 4.4, I'd advise against pulling the new versions of the addons, because they may no longer work properly on 4.4. #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev
