"What scene makes you emotional no matter how many times you’ve seen it?" This movie is a treasure.

Just got out of a screening of Buddy, and I was absolutely blown away at how inventive and unnerving it is. Highly recommend checking it out before it leaves theaters.

Dolly Parton on trans rights. God I loved her.

When looking at the issue of anti-trans legislation, Parton said that “I try to get into the human element of it.” Pointing out that she has people in her life who identify as queer and trans, the 77-year-old star said it was important to hear what they’re saying.

“I know and love them all, and I do not judge. And I just see how broken-hearted they get over certain things and I know how real they are,” she said. “I know how important this is to them. That’s who they are. They cannot help that any more than I can help being Dolly Parton, you know, the way people know me. If there’s something to be judged, that is God’s business. But we are all God’s children and how we are is who we are.”

This weekend I screened #PacificRim for a bunch of friends, which has become a bit of a tradition for me at this point for my birthday. I love sharing this movie with people and ranting about how it’s a lovingly crafted sentimental film about how our connections to one another can save the world.

There's a lot of misinformation flying around about who is working on The Wolf Among Us 2 and it's really frustrating seeing people make stuff up as part of an 'it's happening!' narrative. : (

This is outstanding news, and something you don't see very often. Supernatural is the best home workout solution out there IMO. I'm so glad to see the devs and coaches able to resurrect this experience, and hoping it means that it comes to other ecosystems so they can bring it to larger audiences.

Hoppers is the best thing to come out of Disney or Pixar in a LONG time. I cannot recommend it enough. It’s one of the few original films they have on their slate for a while and it deserves to do well at the box office.

Just saw a screening of the Met Opera’s adaptation of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. The book is fantastic and deals with a lot of powerful themes that have only become more relevant since it was published, and the opera did justice to the source material.
