unironically the best summer of my life was before my 1st year of grad school; every friday when I came home from the lab I’d sit on the front porch of my apartment complex with a pack of cigarettes and a six pack. met everyone in the building and had a ton of fun just chatting late into the night

I think we’ll move most @autocode.com posting here soon. A little concerned about content moderation because many of our users are younger, hope it can get a little better.

most discourse I’ve had around bsky ends with “… if the decentralization thing doesn’t kill it.” I’m pretty convinced that the biz here is to aggregate community and then sell atproto servers to large media cos so they can own their content but implementation is invisible to users cc @pfrazee.com

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Skeets, is in fact, AT/Skeets, or as I've recently taken to calling it, AT plus Skeets. Skeets is not a platform unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning AT system made useful by the DIDs, XRPC, and

pretty crazy that @jamesgunn.bsky.social is the center of the bluesky cinematic universe. hey @pfrazee.com — think it’s worth shortening @ bsky.social names to just usernames? and then use an icon to denote “this network” & give a custom icon to custom domains. would help celebs I think

people like to focus on graphics in games but as I’m playing that graphics just feed me sensory information that I react to; I lose all sense of their fidelity pretty quickly. I think it’s why we remember eg Goldeneye as having amazing graphics

Coolest thing about Bluesky is domains-as-identity. This very simply solves literally every Bluecheck-associated problem with Twitter.

Hi Bluesky! We’ve created a brand account for Autocode. Happy to be part of this community and hope many others will join; really excited about how hackable everything is. We hope we can contribute to the high quality apps being built here! ☺️

Alright so we set up a brand account for @autocode.com -- hope many more companies will join! We're gonna be creating content this / next week on how to easily build Bluesky apps. 😊

Alright; I spent most of the day getting a robust Bluesky API set up for easy use on autocode.com including building an API key abstraction. I should be able to launch tomorrow night.

020

keith 🍁 @keithwhor.com · 13/04/2023

Hey @jay.bsky.team - bug report for your API. "embed": { "$type": "app.bsky.embed.recordWithMedia#view" } returns a `record` object with another `record` object inside of it, just a `{record: {record: { ... actual Record ... } }`. Appears this is not intentional.

An interesting side effect of the SVB collapse is that I had to switch every SaaS subscription to new card. For a small company this means I am suddenly paying a lot more attention to how small expenses stack up.

when people figure out how simple associating a domain with a bluesky account is I have a feeling people are gonna like it a lot more. also possible to have company accounts (eg @keith.autocode.com) which is awesome. big win for journo + celebs (@anderson.cnn.com, @taylorswift.com)
