ESPERANTO (THINKING): "You think I don't know that?"

PANEL 4: Rasa steps into an alleyway.

PANEL 5: Valdez chases after her, dragging Esperanto with him.

VALDEZ: "HEY! I wasn't done shouting at you--"

VALDEZ: "BACK OFF! HE'S MINE! I FOUND HIM!"

PANEL 3: Zoom out to show the whole street. Bystanders all turn their heads to look at the trio.

PANEL 4: Rasa puts her hands up. Valdez scrunches his face up in petulant anger.

RASA: "Whoa! I didn't realize you two were like that~!"

VALDEZ: "You always steal everything from me, ever since we were kids! You stole my toys, you stole my food, you stole my ideas...!"

VALDEZ (NARRATION): "We ascended from the same nursery mere seconds apart."

PANEL 2: Young Rasa breaks from the hug and runs towards the arms. The gardener reaches a hand out to fruitlessly try to stop her.

PANEL 3: Young Rasa pulls a young Valdez out of the ground. Valdez coughs and sputters.

RASA (NARRATION): "Double ascension! That makes us brother and sister!"

PANEL 4: Young Rasa puts young Valdez in a headlock. Valdez is scrunching his face up in displeasure. The gardener holds her hands up to dissuade this action, fretting.

VALDEZ (NARRATION): "She's never left me alone since."

PANEL 5: The flashback ends. In the present, Rasa is holding Valdez in a headlock mirroring the previous panel. Rasa is all smiles, and Esperanto and Valdez are unamused.

RASA: "That's right~!"

PANEL 2: Esperanto taps his forehead.

ESPERANTO: "Yeah, probably. Can't remember anything before I was around fourteen."

PANEL 3: Wide shot of Valdez and Esperanto leaving the warehouse. Two factories stand to either side of the warehouse: Factory Inc. and Ser Reginald's Fork and Spoon Company. The false facade floats down the canal, which runs alongside the factories.

VALDEZ: "You don't sound so confident."

ESPERANTO: "It's part of the experience. There's always that doubt in the back of your mind. 'Am I really descended, or did I just wander into town in a fugue state?'"
