After being raped by a man on my hall sophomore year, I couldn’t leave my dorm room for weeks and failed several classes. I had to take out student loans so I could retake those credits. We almost never talk about the financial toll of campus sexual assault on survivors.

Imo it’s getting worse with bots now having access to AI. But that could just be my perception of it

020

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

And then there is the monetization side of it, bots create engagement. Companies like reddit or facebook have no real incentive to dig deep to remove them because it brings profit

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

And this is just the web part of how dead internet theory affects the world, to think with how many bots you likely interacted during your lifetime gives me shivers. Not even mentioning the cyber bullying aspect of it, how many bots contributed to people taking their own life

That is kind of a red flag from that company. Similar to asking to meet your parents and you didn’t even go on a first date

020

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

I feel so awkward asking for references every time even if we kept a good relationship. But at least it’s always at the offer stage so at that point I’m really hopeful about the upcoming job

Ah I forgot they have their own movie library. So for their movies you still get ads even on premium iirc. But when I used free plex with my own server it did not show any ads, so you are saying now it does? I bought lifetime in 2023, mainly because skip intro & downloads features was neat

000

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

But in their instance, isn’t your machine hosting a server? So it uses your computer memory for broadcasting over network and all the performance, and your storage for the movies. And then maybe accessing their server to generate metadata for new movie additions

100

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

What happened with plex? I have a lifetime subscription to it which worked wonders but then I did not use it for a year right now

110

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

But for tv I also have my own server/library through Plex, given that it allows to have higher quality. But any time I’m traveling or not near a tv? Free streaming!

110

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

But seriously you don’t even need to download anything if you don’t want to, plenty of websites do free streaming up to 1080p with English subtitles(which imo are a must)

Not prioritizing providing shareholder value did wonders to my skin, even better than consistent sleep schedule 🙂‍↕️ I likely won’t be here long; instead I appear as a phantom to remind everyone to log off every once in a while. The horrors persist but so do we

3dslibris, I mostly find books in epub format and upload it there through SFTP to avoid taking the sd card out

But are you reading React books on your 3ds?

That time period has a special place in my heart but I think I finally reached the acceptance phase on how it wont ever be the same again

It’s way too nice being offline, doubt I will ever reach the same shit posting heights as during the twitter peak. Now that’s growth

I actually started a book club with this one at my previous job! We all really loved it, albeit it might be worth to reread it since it’s been several years

wild that the head of trust and safety just posted a whole thread explaining that the rules pretaining to harassment and threatening/wishing/glorifying violence are intentionally vague so they can be arbitrarily enforced against people they don't like and relaxed or ignored against people they do

I’m way too biased for this but imo original hardware is better, ocarina looks stunning in 3d. Plus can use 3ds to read, watch 3d movies or draw in 3d! But fallout/skyrim/etc do look impressive on thor

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

I was shocked at how visually stunning it all looks, and the special effects of burning the web or hookshot?? Been replaying it on my 3ds just now, I am beyond excited for this title to reach new audiences

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Not just that, it gotta be a decent stream pressure too. Weak water pressure will just soak the remaining shit parts instead of getting them off 😂

000

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Their faces look very uncanny to me 😭 Almost as if it’s from one of those ai games that consistently get advertised on YouTube with some crazy plot. I wish they kept the style closer to 3ds version, soft character features but not overly “cute”

Kefimochi @kefimochi.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

Since when phone speakers in public spaces became normalized 🥲 I do NOT want to listen to multiple people watching short TikTok videos at full volume. It is bizarre that it’s becoming a new social norm
